About the Company
No Recess provides the services of a music-based content company, combining the strengths of skilled creative teams who seek to empower entertainers. Our aim is to be the driving force behind the musician, covering everything from artist development to distribution of content.
Our 2023 project, Idol School, is an artist development program for creatives and entertainers. The fourth wall of our projects will employ skilled creatives, influencers and business owners from across Canada.
Idol School will be presented to market as a reality tv show, shot in Toronto, Ontario highlighting the processes behind the scenes of a variety of positions in the entertainment industry.
About the Role
We are searching for a skilled and tech-savvy songwriter to create songs that will resonate with targeted audiences. The songwriter’s responsibilities include analyzing existing hits and music industry trends. To be successful as a songwriter, you should have a wide vocabulary and the ability to identify the elements that make a song appealing. Outstanding candidates are perceptive wordsmiths with a good ear and excellent knowledge of current affairs.
Requirements
A sound understanding of melody, poetry, music, and lyrics.
Strong analytical and time management abilities.
Good research and marketing skills.
Superb written and verbal communication, as well as interpersonal skills.
Diligent, deadline-driven, and willing to work with other artists.
